Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is a tool used to identify and analyze potential or existing hazards in a job task to prevent injuries.
Our Safety Advisors can assist in development of JHA, by first identifying the task at hand. Next is to outline all the steps and identify hazards associated with each step. Then create a plan for hazard control.
Are JHA's required by OSHA? No OSHA does not explicitly require the use of JHA, but General Contractors may, while on their jobsites. OSHA does require Employers to provide a safe and healthful workplace for their employees. Identifying, correcting, controlling hazards is paramount for worker safety.
Safety Programs & Safety Plans
A Safety Program, also known as an Injury, Illness and Prevention Program (IIPP) is a program that covers many aspects of company's safety policy and procedures', along with management position and commitment amongst other topics, and is usually written to comply with OSHA Standards. Does every company need a Safety Plan? We will work with you to evaluate your company's needs and requirements. We will also work with you to review your current program, update the plan, and in some cases we will develop a full comprehensive program.
Job Site Safety Inspections and Audits
Job Site Safety Inspections in the Construction Industry are required, and need to be done so on a regular basis by a competent person. OSHA 29CFR1926.20
When we conduct a Job Site Safety Inspection, we provide a detailed report with photos. Both positive and negative observations are noted. These observations will corresponds to OSHA Standards and Best Practices. Identifying the hazard is one aspect of safety. Correcting the safety violation is another. Our system will help to track the corrections or those safety violations that were not corrected.
OSHA Inspection & Citation Assistance
Many employers may have never experienced, know or understand the OSHA inspection process, and that is okay. We are here to help.
We will respond the same day to assist our clients through the inspection process. After the inspection part is done, we will help our clients to implement any corrective actions that need to be done, but we will also be there to participate in the Informal Conference to negotiate the reduction of penalties, and possibly eliminate citations on their behalf.
Respirator N95 Fit Testing
Our trained health instructors will provide organizations with the regulatory setup of airborne compliant plans and fit testing for N95 respirators.
Fit testing complies with the Code of Regulations 42 CFR 84 per the Center for Disease Control (CDC) requirements for using N95 respirator protection programs and 29 CFR 1910.134 standards for Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
